The Golden Sovereign is a one-of-a-kind couture masterpiece from The Blackbird Collection — a collision of ancient armor and modern luxury that has never been done before and will never be done again. Part warrior. Part goddess. Entirely Lavergne.

The Breastplate

A soft golden breastplate covers the entire bodice — front and back — crafted in pure gold fabric engineered for movement, not the battlefield. Inspired by the armor worn by soldiers, but reimagined in the language of haute couture. The plate wraps all around the body with a backout, hugging the waistline in a fitted, sculpted grip that commands attention from every angle.

Across the entire surface of the breastplate, an intricate bird wing design spreads and soars — feathers etched and sculpted into the gold, edge by edge, as if the wearer herself is mid-flight. The edges of the plate are sculptured precisely around the wing contours, finished with soft netting against the skin for comfort and breathability.

The plate extends slightly around the front at the hipbones, revealing a deliberate, architectural opening on both thighs — a flash of skin that is bold, intentional, and perfectly placed. Two side pockets sit flush within the armor silhouette, functional and invisible.

The Dress

Beneath the breastplate, a long floor-length gown in pure silk solid gold fabric — sleeveless, with delicate spaghetti straps and a teardrop neckline trimmed in pure gold ribbon. No pockets on the dress. No interruption. Just pure, liquid gold silk that falls to the floor in an unbroken sweep of luxury.

The Train (Optional)

The Golden Sovereign is available with or without its signature feathered train — offered in both short and long lengths. The train is crafted in real bird feathers in a dramatic 2-tone colorway of black and gold, attached to the back of the gown beneath a folded fabric flap concealing pure gold hidden hooks and latches — completely invisible from the outside. When worn, the train transforms the gown into a grand, theatrical entrance unlike anything else on earth.
